Dining on Campus

RETAIL LOCATIONS

If you're looking for a fast-casual meal, snack, or drink on the go, we have a variety of menu offerings and locations to choose from! The Storrs campus has 5 cafes (including one that is plant-based), a multi-concept food court, 3 eateries, an ice cream shop, food truck, ice cream truck, and a convenience store. We also have a cafe at the UConn Law School in Hartford and a cafe on the Avery Point campus.

DINING HALLS

UConn's eight residential dining halls are located throughout the Storrs campus making it convenient to find food just outside of all academic buildings and residence halls. We cater to a wide variety of diets such as gluten-free, kosher, halal, vegan, and vegetarian. Meal plans allow unlimited access to the dining halls and all-you-care to eat.

Each dining hall has a salad bar, coffee station, deli bar, fresh fruit, freshly made desserts from the UConn Bakery, and a gluten-free space that offers drinks, desserts, and breads. The daily menu is different at each location and many dining halls offer weekly action stations where students pick the ingredients and our chefs create the dish on the spot. Some of our action bars include stir fry, mac and cheese, omelets, crepes, grain bowls, and pasta. It wouldn't be college without traditional comfort foods like pizza, pasta, burgers, fries, and grilled cheese. We offer these items almost daily at each dining hall. Grilled chicken, vegan eggs, and vegan French toast are always available upon request if it isn't on the menu for the day. We are here to help. If you need assistance or have questions about something while in the dining hall, please ask our staff or managers while you are there so we can assist you in a timely manner.

GREEN RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION (GRA) - CERTIFIED GREEN RESTAURANT ®

Seven of our eight residential dining halls are 4 Star Certified Green Restaurant®. Our newest dining hall, CT Hall, will be evaluated by the GRA in late September 2024. What does Certified Green Restaurant® mean? The purpose of the GRA standards is to provide a transparent way to measure each restaurant’s environmental accomplishments while providing a pathway for the next steps each restaurant can take towards increased environmental sustainability. Click the "GreenPoints™" link in each unit description to viewpoints achieved in sustainability areas.  Click here for details of the eight environmental categories.
