Senior Slice

What is Senior Slice? Senior Slice is an event we started to celebrate the graduating class with their own custom pizzas. Seniors get to submit their own creations. The selections are then narrowed down by our chefs and the top choices are voted on by students. The winning pizzas are served in various locations around campus on different dates in the Spring semester. Winners get a party pack of pizzas, salad and more with their friends.

Senior Slice Winners for 2023

  • Mathew Chandy - Vodka sauce base topped with sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon, fresh mozzarella, shredded mozzarella, basil, and pesto.
  • Pranav Tavildar (vegan pizza) - General Tso base topped with crispy tofu, caramelized onions, broccoli, peppers, vegan slice chao cheese, sesame seeds, and cilantro

    March 22nd - Gelf - Vegan pizza (lunch & dinner)
    March 23rd - Gelf - Non-vegan pizza (lunch & dinner)
    March 24th - McMahon - Both pizzas (lunch & dinner)
    March 31st - Union Street Market Pompeii - Both pizzas (lunch & dinner)
    May 5th - McMahon - Both pizzas (lunch & dinner)

    Are you gluten-free? Our gluten-free crusts are personal pizza size. Please request with the staff member at the pizza station. It will take 10-15minutes to prep and cook.

    Class of 2023 - Senior Slice is an opportunity for the senior class to build their favorite pizza creations. Three vegan pizza ideas and three non-vegan pizza ideas will be chosen from the submissions and voted on to become the official "Senior Slice." The winning pizzas will be served on select dates at McMahon, Gelf, & USM this spring.

    Week of Jan. 23rd -- Submissions are due by the end of the day on Jan. 29th. You may submit more than one idea.
    Week of Jan. 30th -- Chefs and staff at McMahon will narrow the submissions.
    Week of Feb. 6th -- Vote on finalists. One vote per UConn student.

    Winners will receive a pizza party pack. Your winning pizza along with salads, drinks, and desserts to share with friends.
