GreenMetric World University rankings list - In 2023, UConn was ranked #9 in the world and #2 in the North America.
The GreenMetric survey focuses on the environmental aspects of sustainability.

Sierra Club's Top 10 Cool Schools 

All eight of our dining halls have been four-star certified by the Green Restaurant Association.
UConn is one of only two campuses in the U.S. to have all dining halls achieve the highest level of certification from the GRA.

UConn has gone platinum — as one of the world’s most sustainable campuses. UConn rates sixth out of over 1,000 universities in 40 countries in the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) 2020 Sustainable Campus Index.
UConn is one of only seven institutions meriting platinum status.

 UConn is recognized by the Princeton Review as one of the greenest universities.
