Welcome to UConn Dining!

Here are some quick dining tips to help you navigate UConn Dining, whether it's your first semester or last.

• New to campus? Review our Dining Tips for New Huskies
• Fall semester meal plans begin on Thursday, August 27. If you will be on the Storrs campus prior to the 27th due to a campus group, job, org, etc., please check with your contact regarding dining accommodations.
• Your OneCard is needed to access the dining halls.
• Students in on-campus apartments or off-campus, purchasing a Community Meal Plan: Please purchase before coming to the dining hall. If purchasing, please allow at least 24 hours for activation. If you are standing in line at the dining hall filling out the intent-to-purchase form, please be aware that submitting the form does not immediately activate or purchase the plan, and you will need an alternative form of payment.
• Dining Hall Guests During Move-In: Students can bring guests to the dining hall for a meal during move-in.
  • each guest (age 5 & older) has to be paid for with: points, flex passes (1 per guest), or Husky Bucks - all of which are on your OneCard. Or guests can pay credit/debit (at guest price). Guests under 5 are free.
  • guests are welcome to dine at the dining hall w/out a student (at guest price)
  • guests are welcome throughout the year, not just move-in
• Did your housing situation change over the summer? If your housing changed from a dorm/suite with a meal plan to an on-campus apartment or off-campus living, your meal plan is automatically removed from the fee bill.

  • Our Community Meal Plan can provide a discount per meal vs paying with credit/debit/points/Husky Bucks
• Follow us on social! Stay up to date - our social accounts are very active throughout the semester with reminders, menu specials, events, and giveaways! @UConnDining on IG, FB, TikTok
• What's on the menu? The easiest way to check our menus on the go is through the myUConn app in the Apple or Google Play store.  Also check out the Swipe Dining app in the Apple store - health scores, allergen filtering, nutrition tracking, and meal planning created by UConn student Sean Howard.
• Change Your Meal Plan - If you decide you want to upgrade or downgrade your meal plan, you have until Friday, September 18, 2026, to do so. Use our online form to make the change.
• Got Allergies or Dietary Concerns?  If you haven't talked to our staff this summer, please review the necessary steps to get started as soon as possible. dining.uconn.edu/dietary
• Busy Schedule - If you find that your schedule with class, work, sports, etc., consistently interferes with getting to the dining hall in time for one of your meals, please review our to-go program.
• Understanding Flex Passes & Points: dining.uconn.edu/flex-pass-and-points
• Food Insecurity - If you know of a student who is experiencing food insecurity, please guide them to the following resources:
  • The Storrs campus has a food pantry: huskyharvest.uconn.edu
  • Dining is always hiring students (jobs are flexible, & student employees get a free meal during their shift)
  • Additional on/off campus support

PARENTS/FAMILY/FRIENDS: Show your Husky you are thinking of them with sweet treats from our Bakery (gluten-free & vegan available) or a themed care package of snacks from our Convenience Store. Delivery to rooms is not available.
