Flex Passes and Points

HOW AND WHERE CAN I USE MY FLEX PASSES?

Flex passes that come with residential meal plans can be used in two ways:

  1. To allow a guest to dine with you at one of our dining halls.
  2. One Value Meal at the following locations:

Cafes: CrossRoads, Beanery, Up & Atom, Bookworms, Market Cafe One salad or sandwich, one bag of chips, and one bottled beverage (Kombucha excluded)
One Plate, Two Plates (Student Union) 2 Cheeseburger Sliders, Fries, Beverage

2 Apple Chicken Burger Sliders, Fries, Beverage

2 Black Bean Burger Sliders, Fries, Beverage

Earth, Wok & Fire (Student Union) General Tso, White Rice, Beverage

Teriyaki Beef, White Rice, Beverage

Chicken Broccoli, White Rice, Beverage

Vegetable Fried Rice or Vegetable Lo Mein with Egg Roll and Beverage

Union Street Market: Pompeii Oven Pizza station (Student Union) One slice of cheese or pepperoni pizza, one bag of chips, and one fountain beverage
  • Your Flex Passes and Points are on your OneCard.
  • Value Meals are One meal per transaction. Sorry, no substitutions are allowed on any of the value meals.
  • Flex Passes are per semester and do not roll over and cannot be refunded.
  • Only one Flex Pass is allowed per transaction at the register however there is no limit on the number of times you can use a Flex Pass during the day. 
  • If you have an issue using a Flex Pass at a certain location, please ask to speak to the manager or contact us through our online form.
  • Check Your Flex Pass Balance: Next time you use a Flex Pass ask the staff member at the dining hall tap station or retail register for your balance.

HOW AND WHERE CAN I USE MY POINTS?

Points come with the Ultimate and Value meal plans. For those without a meal plan or the custom plan, a cash points account can also be purchased separately.

Spending power: one point = one dollar

Points may be used in three ways:

  1. Purchase a meal in any of our dining halls for a guest
  2. Purchase a meal in the dining halls for yourself if you are using a cash points account
  3. Purchases at most of our retail operations

  • Dining halls to purchase a meal (see below for meal prices)
  • Beanery Cafe (Benton Museum)
  • Up & Atom Cafe (BioPhysics Building - Lower Level)
  • Bookworms Cafe (Library)
  • CrossRoads Cafe (Wilbur Cross Building)
  • Market Cafe (Student Union - Lower Level)
  • Union Street Market food court (Student Union - Lower Level)
  • One Plate, Two Plates (Student Union - Lower Level)
  • Earth, Wok & Fire (Student Union - Lower Level)
  • Mango (Rec Center)
  • Mort's Cafe - (Student Center, UConn Avery Point Campus)

If you are purchasing a meal in the dining hall with points, please note the meal prices below (prices valid through 7/31/22):

Breakfast $8.55
Lunch $13.50
Brunch $16.15
Dinner $16.90

Points cannot be used in the Union Exchange Convenience Store (C-Store) located in the Student Union, UConn Dairy Bar, or the UConn Dairy Bar Truck. Points are not accepted at Starbucks, Subway, or Dunkin Donuts on campus as they are not run by Dining Services.

  • Your Flex Passes and Points are on your OneCard.
  • Points on meal plans are per semester and do not roll over and cannot be refunded.
  • All cash point accounts that are inactive for a whole semester will be closed.
  • If you added on extra points to your meal plan or purchased a cash point account these points do roll over. Requested refunds for these points are issued only if the student is graduating or leaving the University (at the value they were originally purchased).
  • Check your points balance by logging into your OneCard account.
  • If you have an issue using points at a certain location, please ask to speak to the manager or contact us through our online form.

Questions about Husky Bucks?

Although Husky Bucks can be used as dollar-for-dollar payment at all the UConn Dining Services locations, we do not oversee the management of Husky Bucks. Please visit the One Card website for more details on how Husky Bucks can be used and added to your ID card.
