Robert Landolphi

Director of Culinary Development


Robert Landolphi is the Director of Culinary Development for UConn Dining Services, where he brings creativity, leadership, and a deep passion for food to one of the nation’s largest and most respected collegiate dining programs. With more than 25 years of experience in dining services, Robert plays a key role in shaping menus, mentoring culinary teams, and ensuring that UConn’s dining program continues to set the standard for quality, innovation, and student satisfaction. In addition to his culinary leadership, he is also an accomplished author, sharing his expertise and love of cooking through published works that celebrate approachable, high-quality food.

A strong advocate for community engagement, Robert is widely recognized for connecting food with education and outreach. He has led hands-on cooking demonstrations at campus and local events, participated in youth-focused initiatives such as the UCann Cook summer program, and actively supports community celebrations that highlight the power of food to bring people together. His efforts have helped strengthen the relationship between UConn Dining Services and the surrounding communities it serves.

Robert is also deeply committed to using local ingredients and thoughtfully addressing the diverse and evolving dietary needs of the UConn population. His leadership reflects a balance of culinary excellence, inclusivity, and sustainability. Through his dedication and vision, Robert Landolphi continues to elevate campus dining while fostering meaningful connections through food.
