Flex passes and points come with the Ultimate and Value meal plans. Only flex passes come with the Custom meal plan. If you want to add on points to the Custom meal plan or you are a student in on/off campus apartments/commuting and would like a points account, you can submit your request by filling out our online form. The use of residential meal plan flex passes and points begins on the first day of service in the dining halls and ends on the last day of service for each semester. HOW AND WHERE CAN I USE MY FLEX PASSES?
Flex passes that come with residential meal plans can be used in two ways:
- To allow guests to dine with you in the dining halls. One flex pass per guest.
- One Value Meal at the participating locations below.
Community Meal Plan dining hall swipes cannot be used for flex pass value meals.

Substitutions are not allowed.
You can choose not to include a certain item with the meal, but you cannot substitute it.
- Your flex passes are on your OneCard. You need to have your OneCard with you to make a flex pass value meal purchase.
- Only one value meal per transaction; however, there is no limit on the number of times you can use a flex pass during the day.
- Unused flex passes do not roll over to the next semester and cannot be refunded.
- One (1) flex pass will be deducted for each guest you admit to the dining hall. You can bring more than one guest with you.
- If you have an issue using a flex pass, please contact us through our online form.
- Check Your Flex Pass Balance: Next time you go to use a flex pass, ask the staff member at the register for your balance.

Points act like cash at UConn Dining Services locations. Whether you have points on your residential meal plan or you purchased a Cash Points account.
One Point = One Dollar
Points may be used in these ways:- Purchase a meal in any of our dining halls for yourself or guest(s)
- Purchases at participating UConn Dining retail operations (see list below)

MEAL PRICES IN THE DINING HALLS
- Breakfast $9.00 ($6.15 children age 5-10)
- Brunch $16.60 ($12.00 children age 5-10)
- Lunch $14.00 ($10.00 children age 5-10)
- Dinner $18.00 ($13.00 children age 5-10)
Points cannot be used at: Union Exchange Convenience Store (C-Store), UConn Dairy Bar, Food for the Pack Food truck, or the UConn Dairy Bar truck. Points are also not accepted at Bears BBQ, Starbucks, Subway, or Dunkin on the Storrs campus, as these franchise locations are not affiliated with UConn Dining Services.
- Your points are on your OneCard. You need to have your OneCard with you to make purchases.
- Points attached to meal plans are per semester. Unused points do not roll over to the next semester and cannot be refunded.
- If you add extra points to your meal plan or purchase a cash point account, these points do roll over. Requested refunds for these points are issued only when the student graduates or leaves the University.
- All cash point accounts that are inactive for a whole semester will be closed.
- Check your points balance by logging into your OneCard account.

Questions about Husky Bucks
Husky Bucks can be used as a payment method at all the UConn Dining Services locations. Dining does not manage Husky Bucks.
