Chuck & Augie’s Restaurant is named in honor of Charles and Augustus Storrs, benefactors of the University of Connecticut. From its humble beginnings in 1881, UConn has grown to be one of the top public research universities in the nation. The Department of Dining Services has kept pace with that growth, offering excellence in service while enhancing the campus experience through quality and value to students, faculty and staff. It is with much honor and respect that we dedicate this restaurant to Charles and Augustus Storrs.

Did You Know? As one of the restaurant’s “healthy” initiatives, our menu is trans-fat free!

Beginning this Spring 2018 semester, we will take your meal plan points beginning at 1:00pm through 8:00pm, Monday – Friday. You can also use your points to order take-out meals!

Please note: Consistent with the Department of Dining Services’ “No Tipping Policy,” gratuities at Chuck & Augie’s Restaurant are not accepted.

Summer Hours of Operation

  • Monday – Friday: 11:00am – 2:30pm through June 8th.
  • Closed for summer beginning June 11th – August 17th.
  • Re-opens Monday, August 20th.

Normal Hours of Operation

  • Monday – Friday: 11:00am – 8:00pm
  • The Lunch menu will be served from 11:00am – 3:00pm.
  • The Dinner menu will be served from 3:00pm – 8:00pm

  • Reservations accepted until 3:00pm daily.
  • Parties of nine or more aren’t guaranteed to be seated together, however, we will put our best effort into accommodating large parties.
  • Reservations are only held for 20 minutes.
  • Points accepted starting at 3:00pm; dine-in only.
  • Due to customer requests, parties of six or more will receive one bill. We realize that some of our patrons may be needing to return to work in a timely manner, and we will make every effort to expedite this process.

Farm-To-Chef Week: September 18-22, 2017

Chuck & Augie’s participates in Connecticut’s Farm-to-Chef celebration. Farm-to-Chef Week was started by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture in 2010 as part of its year-round Farm-to-Chef Program. This special week encourages culinary professionals to use Connecticut Grown ingredients in new ways on their menus while it also helps residents and visitors learn more about the diversity of farm products grown and raised in Connecticut. Each year during this week, Chuck & Augie’s award winning chefs design a new and creative menu featuring locally grown foods from Connecticut and the region, including fresh produce grown at UConn’s own Spring Valley Student Farm and Dining Services’ Not Just Desserts Bakery.
